Men (and women), artisans of luxury

Because the Carlton's legend was built by the men and women who have worked there each day since its opening, the hotel pays tribute to these artisans of luxury for whom service and customer satisfaction are the priority. It's a lifestyle - and a style of working - about which stories can be told...

The First Concierge

Maxime Nerkowski is the  Executive Concierge of the InterContinental Carlton Cannes. Drawing on his wealth of experience, his first achievement was succeeding in preserving the savoir-faire of his illustrious predecessors and the high standards of the  Golden Keys concierge society. Today, rigorous and affable, he heads a team of eight concierges, all motivated by a true desire to satisfy his guests' every desire. If Wes Anderson had known him earlier, there's no doubt he would have talked to him about the title role in  Grand Hotel Budapest.

Rigour is an essential quality in our business. I have to be demanding with myself and with my team in order to give full satisfaction to hotel clients who are looking for faultless service. Maxime Nerkowski

The Head Chef

Laurent Bunel manages the Carlton's restaurants, banquet services and room service masterfully. He began working in 1985 at the Casino in Deauville and has continued gaining experience at such renowned establishments such as Le Chabichou in Courchevel, L'Hôtel du Golf and Le Royal In Deauville, alongside Bernard Loiseau, and in Mauritius at the famous Saint Géran. Since 2001, he has officiated at the InterContinental Carlton Cannes, an early proponent of authentic cuisine, inspired by seasonal market produce and the best of tradition - that food should bring pleasure.

For me, cooking is about love and sharing.
Laurent Bunel

The Housekeeping Manager

We could say that Jacqueline Busson is a  Carlton Baby. A graduate of the Hotel School in Sisteron, after doing a work placement in the Carlton she joined the team as an assistant housekeeper. Despite a hiatus in 1988 when the hotel was closed for renovations, she remained loyal to the establishment, and in 1995 became the assistant to Mrs. Mozzatti, the head housekeeper, before taking over the position a few years later. 30 years of good and loyal service to the school of uncompromising standards. A key figure who works tirelessly behind the scenes of the InterContinental Carlton Cannes.

Behind the rigorousness and organisation is constant involvement in providing quality service and earning the respect of my team. Jacqueline Busson.
